Dr. Richard Woolfson received his BS in Economics from Bates College (1992) and is a graduate of the University of Connecticut School of Medicine (1998). Dr. Woolfson did his post-graduate training in general surgery and internal medicine from 1998-2003.
Dr. Woolfson has been working in medical publishing since 2003, for companies such as Simpson HealthCare, International Meetings and Science, and his current employer P\S\L Group.
The purpose of the PeerDirect Medical Board is to ensure the integrity of PeerDirect Publishing communications and science, and to maintain the editorial policy and tone of its publications.
Dr. Matthew Barber received his BS in Biology and Biochemistry at the University of Michigan (1994) and received his doctorate of medicine from CAHSU – School of Medicine in 2001.
Dr. Barber spent time in oncology research before entering the pharmaceutical industry where he helped facilitate the successful FDA label expansion of a novel anesthetic for Hospira. There he sat as the medical affairs chairman for the promotional review committee. Dr. Barber went on to pursue medical intelligence and was a VP Medical Director for an agency of record for 5 years before signing on with P\S\L Group.
Dr. James Seternus, Jr. received his BS in Pre-Medicine and BA in Philosophy from Pennsylvania State
University (2010) and received his Doctorate of Osteopathic Medicine from the Philadelphia College of
Osteopathic Medicine (2017).
Dr. Seternus has worked as a medical communications consultant and medical strategist providing
clinical insight and business strategy for managed care and continuing medical education agencies prior
to joining P\S\L Group.
John W. Smith, MD, received his BS in natural sciences with a specialization in molecular biology from Colgate University and is a graduate of the Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences in Buffalo, NY. Dr. Smith completed post-graduate residency and fellowship training in general surgery, as well as critical care surgery, aesthetic, reconstructive, and oncologic plastic surgery. Dr. Smith was a member of an academic-affiliated, multi-specialty private practice group in New York City for several years and has more than 7 years of experience working as a VP Medical Director in healthcare marketing and communications prior to joining P\S\L group.
Dr. Claire Wang received a BA from Johns Hopkins University as a double major in classics and biology (1997) and went on to receive her doctorate of medicine in 2002 from Northwestern University School of Medicine.
Following graduation, Dr. Wang spent 2 1/2 years with the American Medical Association as a scientist within the Unit on Medicine and Public Health. After the AMA, Dr. Wang continued her career in medical publishing, with AS&K Mercury Healthcare Communications and with her current employer P\S\L Group.
Dr. Timothy Wright received a BA in English and Pre-Medical Sciences from the College of the Holy Cross (1984), a DO from UNT Health Science Center – Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine (1991), and an MPH from the School of Public Health and Health Sciences at the University of Massachusetts-Amherst (2006).
Dr. Wright did his post-graduate training in emergency medicine from 1991-1994. Since 2002, he has been working in medical publishing with Simpson HealthCare and his current employer P\S\L Group.
The PeerDirect Editorial Board provides editorial direction and original content for PeerDirect Publishing’s independent publications. No member of the Medical Board serves as an editorial advisor to any of PeerDirect’s independent publications.
Denise Baez is the Director of Editorial for PeerDirect’s independent publications, including PV Roundup, where she coordinates, edits, and writes medical news and information for physicians and other healthcare professionals. She has been in the medical education and medical publishing sector for over 15 years.
Gabrielle Mostello is the Editor for PV Roundup, where she summarizes the latest medical news and valuable information for physicians, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals. Gabrielle has a BA in Communications from Fordham University, and has over 7 years of experience in the medical publishing industry.
